Danny Huber
The visionary behind Bertolozi’s Pizzeria, Danny has been a cornerstone of the hospitality industry for over a decade. In 2024, driven by a passion for sharing the beloved flavors of his childhood, Danny moved to Georgia with the mission of introducing authentic Chicago-style tavern pizza to the local culinary scene. Growing up in the southwest suburbs of Chicago, he was surrounded by what many consider the best tavern pizza in the USA. This inspired his dedication to perfecting a recipe that embodies the rich culinary tradition of his hometown.
Chef Danny specializes in crafting the distinctive Chicago cracker-thin pizza, a style renowned for its crisp texture and robust flavor. This meticulous art involves a dough-making process that lasts an entire week, allowing for a slow and delicate development of flavors. By employing techniques that Chicago pizzerias have used since the 1950s, Danny ensures each pizza is a homage to the past while delighting new audiences in Georgia with a fresh and authentic taste of the Windy City.
